I just wanted to point out that MeNoFat's build that was just posted works great and is very efficient! He was right in that healing signet was not necessary; you just need to be energy cautious when facing an aatxe one-on-one. I successfully made it to the smite crawlers with this build.
Quote:
- glad. defense
- Bon. defense
- riposte
- deadly riposte
- healing breeze
- prot spirit
- balthazar's Spirit
- mending
- healing prayers: 9
- protection prayers: 8
- smiting: 8
- strength (+3)
- axe: (+3)
- hammer: (+3)
- sword: (+3)
- tactics: 15 (11+3+1)
|
Remember to keep swinging your sword to gain adrenaline from hitting the aatxe. With 8 in smiting prayers, you'll also be gaining adrenaline from Balthazar's spirit so you really shouldn't have a problem getting bonetti's up if needed.
The only thing to note is one-on-one fights with aatxes. Try not to use deadly riposte unless it kills them as it wastes your energy and try to keep bonneti's on for energy. Use riposte as a free way to hurt the aatxe and gladiator's defense for damage.
This 55 Warrior build also works nicely on Mountain Trolls, Desert Griffons, and Minotaurs as well.
PS - To deal with the first nightmare you have to aggro the first group of aatxe on the left side of the stairs and position yourself inbetween the two ghosts. The aatxe will get stuck and enables you to recast enchants and rest up. Use a wand or a bow to safely kill the nightmare.

Nice, a unique approach to farming UW. Going to have to try this.

How do you manage to deal with the aatxes' riposte? Oh, I see, protective spirit.

I don't suppose there is anyone here who uses a similar build, but with an Axe instead of sword?

You need the sword for using Ripostes and Deadly Ripostes.

Nice idea, but seems like too much trouble to go to with all those enchants. There are better builds out there.

It's just an alternative way to do UW solo. Not meant to be the most effective or quickest build.

Why would you go to all the trouble of getting to 105hp when there is a quite nice build that Racthoh made for soloing UW without spending almost 30k to set this build up Going the Prot Spirit and Heal Breeze might be the easy way but Racthoh's build uses far more skill then what this does
After all. Its your skill not hours played that decides your fate!

The more different builds the better, so peeps can try out what they feel like and even improve things.
Using prot spirit is exactly the point of this build, like a monk would do but with a warrior. You can spend 3k on it or even 500k. You can get LA glad armor, 5 cheap sup runes, a collector off hand +12 energy and the collector +5 energy wand. total price will be less than 3k.
Fun is what this build is about, trying things. And it's indeed fun to see that several people here made their own modifications and playstyle and share it with the community.
